Read-Shifting Room is a communal reading room curated by AAPI creatives of JADED, located at Bunker Projects from July 11 to August 3. On opening night I will be collaborating with Iris Kang for a text-based improvisation to activate the space.

"Two Open Mouths" opening show: collaborative piece with text scores by Iris Seoyoung Kang and Trē
Opening reception for “Two Open Mouths,” a solo show by Karen Lue at Bottom Feeder Books. The reception will feature readings by Sara Tang, Brent Nakamoto, and Elina Zhang as well as live, improvised interpretations by Iris Seoyoung Kang and Trē Seguritan Abalos of text scores they wrote for each other.

Khūrākī with RealTime Arts
Khūrãkī is a collaborative theatre piece by RealTime Arts and women of Pittsburgh’s Afghan community for which I have been playing live music since 2019 (thanks to Monique Meade and Jennie Dorris) at venues all around Pittsburgh, most recently in the BorderLight Theatre Festival in Cleveland. This time I will be improvising the interludes with my collaborator Aaron Basskin on drum synthesizer!
