Khūrãkī is a collaborative theatre piece by RealTime Arts and women of Pittsburgh’s Afghan community for which I have been playing live music since 2019 (thanks to Monique Meade and Jennie Dorris) at venues all around Pittsburgh, most recently in the BorderLight Theatre Festival in Cleveland. This time I will be improvising the interludes with my collaborator Aaron Basskin on drum synthesizer!
